What biome is it? It is NOT swamp, so don't say it.

I've noticed that far from Boston you can sometimes find strange Biomes which do not conform to the standard models for visuals and spawns.

TLDR: It's some kind of randomised Biome with no announced title. If this terrain is also found on other servers or in other parts of the same server, and spawns the same items etc then I guess it's waiting to be named after somebody.

It's a real biome, although it doesn't look like what it's supposed to be (Jorb mentioned what it is a while back). It's called an Oak Savannah. I live near half the remaining oak savannah in the world IRL, but it used to be a fairly common biome when european settlers first got to North America. The key being it was much easier to cultivate than the thick oak forests so it was farmed first.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Fairly certain Fen is what they called mixed forest. Dark brown ground with pine and leafy trees mixed together.

We call that an Oak Savannah, actually. :)

I'm chopping down all the tree in my Oak Savannah. Now that I know it's rare maybe I'll leave a patch so the future generations can set up a nature preserve. Then again I do need me a shed and walking to the decidiuos forest takes about 1 minute longer.... I'm sure there will be oaks that survive somewhere.

Blewits spawn on plains and coniferous forests. Guess everyone has different names for terrains. Will have to sort out wiki pages about terrain, since they are quite outdated
