I have two piglets and they have not ate yet. Its been 3 days now. I have other animals and they are eating.

have you checked other feeding troughs? Animals won't just feed from the closest feeding trough - walls won't even stop them from feeding at other troughs. My guess is that the feeding range is much like the breeding range - which is 11 tiles.

Latikai client shows trough radius when you try to build it. You cannot actually build a trough in a barn, but you can hover a shadow of it over existing trough to see it's range.
