ridging technique

Postby grimkid » Wed Jan 17, 2018 1:16 pm

I’ve searched the forum, but did not find something on this specific subject.
Is there a way to create ridges? I want to terraform a place to create ridges.

I did, myself, once create a small ridge. It was unintentional as I was trying to lower the ground around my lime pit and it is very much undesirable to me. I posted on this forum at that time and iirc it was not a surprise that it happened, though I'm not sure you can willfully recreate it.

I'll look for my earlier post and edit here if I find it.

Edit: From about 5.5 years ago, but it looks like my screenshot to the "game.salemthegame.com" domain got lost. I'd happily edit if the domain moved, but I'm not sure I can recover it as I'm sure the computer responsible for it was decommissioned long ago.

^ this is about right

Digging resources like lime pits or stone quarries can create ridges on the "normal" surrounding tiles.

Digging normal tiles can, afaik, only remove ridges, but not (re-)create them.
And I guess this is intended as it would open up ...interesting possibilities for base defense.
