I saw a couple of posts saying that there is an anvil in town near the tools vendor. But I can't find the anvil. Was it removed? or moved? Is there another?

Heffernan stole it and salvaged it from the providence claim. Sadly you will not be able to find one there and will need to make your own or ask someone to make the tools for you (be warned that those tools may be scented and that the seller may track them to your location/wherabouts)
