How does map edge looks like?

On Concord I have this experience: cannot move south any longer. Can look much further south, and there are trees and wild life. Wonder if its a bug or actually the edge of the map. Any tips?

The map edge is invisible, you've hit it. The map seems tiny to me, and is especially so going the north-south direction.

Indeed the concord map is oriented to go "east" to the ocean. Its 3 times wider than it is tall.
