What are the minimum recommended stats to be able to take on a bear and win?
What are the best attack strategies/weapons for killing bears? Swords? Guns? Pure yellow-bile strength and rabid motivation to kill?

80~ ybile, some knowledge of bears attacks/combat mechanics, and nails/etterfangs in 2 slot gear is sufficent *with swords

Depending on your ability to move an hit, and experience with bears, you may very well still KO with 150 though.

I like full tea buffs, especially if you can't land your hits, the bear will put a debuff on you that drains BBile (called Fear)

There are also many other ways to kill a bear,
you can lure a snake to the bear and make it bite the bear, and it will KO sooner or later, though you will likely KO before that.
And someone said the easiest way to kill a bear is to turkey-bomb it.

All crutches to avoid putting in the effort required to be good at something. Learn how to fight.

Are you telling me you never used eterfangs, argopelter beak and a turkey gobler to make their hits inflict poison?
