I just came back after being gone for a long time. I have logged in since the wipe. I find myself in the middle of nowhere with no clue as to which direction the town is in. I cleared out my inventory and told it to teleport to providence and get the message that it can't teleport right now.

Try building a lean-to and setting it as your homestead.

Nevermind, I found an abandoned homestead and made it mine, then the teleport worked. Thanks, I had just found one.
