That's funny. I had completely forgotten about the newer AI that makes rabbits run away. I've just been walking up to the things and stomping them to death no problem. I wonder if not realizing it's supposed to be difficult makes it easier.

Use the slingshot to gather rabbits around u and kill them all with a single stomp!

I kind of doubt that.

The rabbit will actually run at you or close enough to you pretty frequently, using roundhouse kick or a polearm usually gets you a rabbit in a matter of a few seconds.

The rabbit only needs to be in range when you initiate the attack move to be aggroed, then will come close and be in range so it will be hit by the attack, and usually dies with just that one hit.

I would not advise stomp here, especially not for newbies, as it takes practice to time correctly, and if you just run up the the rabbit and engage combat with a stomp, the rabbit may very well attack and interrupt your stomp.
Also I advise against the use of slingshots for rabbit hunt as it is not faster, you will still need to hit with an actually damaging attack after initiating combat with a slingshot, and anytime you miss you also waste time.
For newer players there also is the problem that it (again) takes practice to aim correctly and they will therefore miss a lot, and carrying a lot of stones will be bad considering a newer players usually low carry weight.

Thanks all you guys, it was my fault all the time because i didnt had the small hunting game, and i think with slingshot its quite easy to kill a rabbit, just shoot and do a well timed stomp and ready, well i just run all over killing rabbits because i just hate them now and enjoy killing it :)
Again, thanks you all

Have you ever stomped a rabbit before? Even at point blank range where the rabbit doesn't need to move at all the stomp will still hit the rabbit before it hits the player if it doesn't run away. As for crickets(which have 2 different attack types) they can interrupt a stomp with their fast attack move.
Using stomp is still bad to do but don't make up stuff about things you haven't even tested.

Complaining that a new player can't hit a slingshot is not an argument, they just need to practice it on at least 100 rabbits and they'll be experienced enough to aim good.

As for this carry weight thing you speak of, a stone only weighs 0.50 kg while a rabbit weighs 2.50 kg. Players having low carry weight has nothing to do with this and only affects the overall rabbits you can carry at once. And if a player takes 5 stones to hit 1 rabbit early on just for practice then they can just chip some random boulder, etc. out in the wilderness to grab more until they are actually efficient in their aim.

--------

I personally hunt with satan salts + polearm. But that doesn't mean its faster than slingshot. Its just more mind-numbingly monotonous to run at a rabbit and click when you are close than to actually bother aiming as I go into drone mode when hunting 100's of rabbits in one go.

Well honestly, I never used stomp Vs rabbits, if they, as probably the only enemy, can't interrupt it, ok.
Still, stomp uses more YB and is much slower, than, say, a roundhouse kick.
Also, especially for a newbie who has no own stone quarry and no stamp mills and instead likely only a flint axe, chipping stones is also slow, and I still dare to say that roundhouse kick / cleave (polearm) combined with run are the fastest ways to kill a rabbit.

Ofc this does not include personal taste and what someone considers fun, so in the end it does not really matter that much.

You can also use flint, smooth stone, or any other stone you might find in a slingshot. Chipping not required.

Then again it takes time to walk the extra few meters each time and collect it.

As I said, I doubt we'll get down to a scientifically proven solution as to what is the best/fastest way to do it.
And I doubt that would be necessary, everybody can use whatever technique is the personal preferrence.

- stomp has a higher range, but high YB cost and is slow

- roundhouse kick / cleave are faster and need less YB, but roundhouse kick has lower range and cleave needs a polearm (and the skill to use it)

- slingshots require stones that need to be chipped/collected first, and need practice, and then another attack to actually finish of the target (rabbit)

- you could use punch or any other attack, but I'd say with merely run it's difficult, satan salts are good here, then again drugs are bad you know ^^
