Cloak and Dagger?

I can't seem to find the inspirations that'll raise my Cloak and Dagger high enough? I guess Crow Feathers aren't good enough, and Fencing doesn't seem to be getting any closer with the lack of good enough CND insps, any advice?

Blood Shards are the most efficient inspirational (i.e., the best bang for your inspiration buck) and I recall there being an NPC stall in the bottom 2 or 3 rows of the providence market (on the right) selling some.

be careful though, as they raise your madness while studying rather than lowering it. Make sure to mix them up with somethign else.
I've found the tentacles found as rare drop while foraging in water to be an awesome mix between easy to get and giving relevant proficiencies. With a canoe and spamforaging reeds you get a whole bunch of them in no time.

Sort by efficiency and look for these with higher efficiency.
Your best bet is to go hunt for a salamander.
Consider spamming flaming pinecones if you do not have access to better items.
