2. @DryGord : Important in this game is also to be polite though (remember .. learn the politics) , nice words and no offensive language will take you a long way.
3. @DryGord : As long as you don't make your base near provi, or you don't post here a screenshot with a map to your base, or you don't give map to your base around provi, or otheridiot crap like that, no one will really know who and where you are(as far as i know), so don't worry about someone comming after you. that's rather hard. People keep talking about bustling towns and cities, raids, trading, professions, yet here I have just been randomly dropped off in the wilderness with no one around for miles?

Am I missing something? Is there supposed to be an option to join a town or something?

The map is very big but there are some areas that have much more action than others. Of course the area around Providence and Limer's Front have several towns and a good chance of seeing people who will kill you. The general rule is that the closer you are to Providence the greater concentration of settlements. There are few settlements out in the darkness but those out there are usually veteran players who are dangerous to be around. Other areas like Heffernan's town, Kristian towns or Darwoth's main town see action on occasion.
