did wall splash damage go away? just had my gate destroyed and wall was undamaged.

Was the gate built recently?

no it's been in place for months

Gates never splash on wall tiles, only on other gates according to the same rules as normal wall tiles do, just... only on gates.

oh ok, are gates the same strength as walls?
Any Idea how much Phlegm it takes to knock down

iirc gates are just like wall tiles, they are a weak spot as you can bash them with 2 people at once, and a strong point because you can repair them MUCH faster and MUCH cheaper than wall tiles, AND they dont splash on wall tiles so there usually is no splash damage and a new gate or some wall tiles in that place can swiftly negate any progress a raider has made ... if you are online to actively defend.

not sure about the gates, but i repaired a plank fence recently, i think it took one dry board per 2% iirc

Iirc it was planed boards for plank gates, but more like 15% or so per mat used, I could be wrong on that but it would be easy to find out.

For brick gates it is plain pig iron, and just a handful to fully repair a gate.

As I said, in general, gates need MUCH less material and can be repaired MUCH faster than wall tiles, this and the ability to bash a gate with 2 people makes them both a weak and a strong point, depending on if you are actively defending or not.
