So my character was asleep inside his house, the house is inside a town claim.

The town mayor was then killed off by someone with permissions on the town claim.

That person then destroyed the town bell & erected his own (effectively taking over the town)

Therefore I no longer have permissions in the town, and if I leave my house I will become stuck.

Question: - How do I get my character out of the town without leaving any scents behind, and without being attacked by the towns defenses?

I think you're screwed unless:

- You can somehow destroy your leanto (assuming your leanto is within the walls) this will spawn you back in providence after you get KO'd (assuming he doesn't kill you while you're KO'd) you'd probably have to build a trial by fire outside and make sure it overlaps with your leanto inside, and then destroy it from inside after 24 hours
- You can wait and hope he'll eventually destroy your leanto (though not sure that would happen)
- You can ask real nicely and hope he'll let you walk out (lol)

Unless he built a pclaim as well no defenses will attack you as long as you don't commit any crimes (tresspassing on a vclaim isn't a crime) but the perhaps more dangerous part is that you won't log out while on an enemy claim so if he doesn't kill you, the madness will. I'd probably go with option number 3 lol

I think you should be able to get out. If you have a pclaim or leanto, you should be able to access it. Pclaims are still usable the same even with a townclaim on it. If you are away from your claim and can't access the claim, then I would say lift something inside of the house and let yourself KO in order to spawn at the claim/leanto, and then destroy the claim

I have no P-Claim in the town, I do have a Lean-to but it's a good distance from my house, and through two gates which undoubtedly have had their locks re-keyed, also I'd have to trespass to get there and the town is full of braziers

like I said try to KO yourself by lifting something

pick up some chest/chair/box/manequin/whatever, hold it above your head until you run out of phlegm/yb, and then ko. when you spawn at your leanto you'll hopefully be able to use it to port back to providence.

If you can't pick anything up, then go outside and let the braziers do their job Though you probably have a good amount of madness by now if you've been online the whole time so you might not live through a KO either way, your best bet tho!

What was the town you used to live in ?

It was "Elysburg" when I played, but recently the town name was changed to New Castle. I've been away for 3 months with the birth of a new baby.

Apparently, the town changed hands again since you left.

Edit: OK, I didn't read the entire thread, so I guess you knew that. But maybe you should contact Neiro. If you weren't some kind of Talmidge loyalist, then maybe you can work something out.
