Font question

Is there any way at all to increase the font size (tooltips, guide, etc) in windowed mode? I tried switching to full screen but I just get a big black screen, so I'm not sure if that would fix the problem.
Really want to play the game, but for whatever reason the text is just really super tiny on my screen to the point it's just too much of a pain to try and read.
Thanks!

There is not, it's been a problem for people in the past as well. If you're having trouble learning the game my guide offers advice on the matter, it can be found linked in my sig. I'm not sure if it will entirely solve your problem, but most of the important info that would be in the tooltips should also be covered.

Yep, I found your guide right after I got my key last night and it helps a lot. Thanks for all the work on that!

Surely, this must be a high priority task on the things to do list. I like to learn the game with in-game help before I consult 3rd party guides. I am no spring chicken but surely even teenagers with 20-20 vision have trouble reading text that small. Even if they don't their eye sight will start to deteriorate after playing Salem for a few hours a day squinting in front of the monitor. I hope this will get sorted soon.

Teenagers with 20/20 can read the text, mostly it's older gamers who have problems with it. But, it's a very legitimate issue. There are a fairly significant preportion of 30+ who play this game compared to other games I've played. They are as much the target group as 13yo's are due to the broad scope of who Salem can appeal to.
As for why the text is so small, I've got no idea. Maybe I should ask the devs next I get a chance to chat with them. This has been a pretty long standing issue.

I'm 26 and have nearly perfect vision, and I have a hard time with the text. It's not impossible for me to read, but it's uncomfortable, and that's definitely going to be deter some players.

Edit: Honestly it's an off topic point that's not making people read the sentence below. So it's deleted. \/ is what's important.
But yes. Lets try to get this text size issue fixed.

to be honest, im surprised with the new GUI that those who made it didnt think about increasing the font size when they had to make icons and buttons so huge.
i would hate new players to miss the game lore just because the ingame texts are hard to read. its not just about tutorials.
many people have already suggested about the font size being an issue, so yeah, fix it already!
p.s.
i wonder if changing the resolution could change the font size???

It certainly should. I would really like the OP and anyone else with issues about the font size to post a screenshot (or a clipping from one) and to say what their resolution is.
