When you build a leanto, it's left unclaimed. Just have them claim one you build and you're good to go.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

You can. Just have them right click it and homestead it afterwards.

Sweet, thank you. Do you know if people can finally teleport to you from boston as long as they have HS and claim?

You have to have the HS and claim. It can only be done with a fresh character (before learning rights of an englishman, but after survival skills). They teleport out onto your claim and a lean to is created.
