No, this was definitely not someone levelling up. I was in Boston with Tomas when we heard it. Might have been one of the devs having a laugh. Since there's no voice chat support, it couldn't have been someone playing music through their mic.

Some inspirationals, like grass whistle and rock maracas, play a sound when studied. With a bunch of these you could play a simple tune.

I know some curios do, and I would have recognised the tunes. This was more complicated and longer.
