Digging Mountains

Hello,

I have a Question about Digging Mountains.
Sometimes I´m able to dig near Mountains, sometimes not. Why?
Why could I dig at the red point and not at the two blue points?
Is it a bug and would it be fixed, later?

The Picture is only a Example.

The reason you could dig at the red point and not the blue points is because the tile was too steep. I'm not sure the exact amount of pixels deep something can be before it's too steep, but I've been doing a lot of flattening lately and I come across that same problem. I just go up the hill though and dig it down.

just drop some dirt on top of the cliff part then you can turn it into normal hill and then dig it out

From my experience, some cliffs sadly just don't have the right angle to be flattened.

Sometimes it is best to plan ahead and not claim or plan on using land that looks like that:(

Unfortunately, cliffs remain cliffs when you dig or dumb dirt nearby. They take a lot to be able to walk up them, and there is no noticable graphical difference. It is stuff like this that creates weird inconsistencies when dealing with terraforming.

they can eventually become flat (or just walkable). It's just not because they appear so, that they are so
