Hello guyes, please explain, i craft lock & bolt and Key, apply key on lock & bolt, and then i try apply lock & bolt on door pilgrim's hovel but can't, red message"That building is not on fire"

what i'm doing wrong ?

You can only put locks on chests/containers and gates.

They have never been able to be placed on doors.

This was a dream of the old devs, and to impliment lockpicking as a skill, but it never materialized.

If you would like to secure your hovel, build a fence around it with a gate, then lock the gate. (Don't forget to claim it also or else players can break the fence down without committing any crimes.)
