7.5$ cash shop item

"Memento Mori grants the ability to Murder another pilgrim regardless of if they have scents or have transgressed against their fellow man."

Does it give the murder skill to a character or allows the said character to murder someone once (1-shot "murder" button)?

Are there some requirements to use this item? Or is it practically pay-to-win item which allows anyone to murder anyone else for 7.5$ without the risk of leaving scents on established character? Make alt, buy and give it Memento Mori, go murder whomever you need to (of course you have to KO them first with some other character), et voila! Practically noone to track / take revenge on for the murder.

I think JC said it was just a way to unlock the skill to murder someone early in your character progression. You still leave scent.

By "unlock" you mean "learn the skill" or "make it appear on the list of skills available to learning without having prerequisites"?
And scent pointing to a 5/5/5/5 proxy alt is not really useful.

Makes your character insta-learn "The story of Cain & Abel" skill.

It unlocks the skill of murder. Murder is ONLY required to kill innocent players that do not have scents. Typical confrontation revolves around scents, killing somebody with a scents requireds "revenge". The only people that cannot 'Win" without this skill are people who consider 'winning' the slaughter of players who have never left a scent. Considering the extremely high probability of death for anybody who leaves a murder scent, this is more or less an investment grifers can make if this is truly they playstyle but I would hardly argue that the victim and Ranger get the last laugh considering they not only waste the attacks RL $$ but also receive a Store-Credit bounty when they Revenge him and turn in his scalp to the Executioner.

I can certainly see this item as a must-have for anyone wishing to get rid of a peaceful player, who never leaves scents, in a way which does not put aggresor at risk of summoning. This item is against the core mechanic of crime and completely circumvents it.

It does put the summoner at risk of summoning though and simultaneously puts the ranger at a benefit of obtaining store credit.

I suppose I do see the point that it largely eliminates the need for trivial amounts of in-game commitment though. Are you suggesting that perhaps it not be studied unless the player ALSO has the "revenge" skill. Meaning he now has the same opportunity to 'kill' as he would otherwise, and the item is now simply a toggle switch to allow it on innocents?

Making it a bit more of an investment than just a brand new alt wouldn't be too much to ask for such a pay to grief item.

I'm tending to agree. I'm more or less just curious on what the happy medium is.

Keep in mind that the 'harder' this item is to use, the less murderers, which means the less rangers, which means the less bounties, which means the less store credit floating around in the world. My hesitation is from the drama side of 'repercussions' against who buys it. More than the 'benefit' that person gets from buying it.
