It's generally a bad thing to ask for hearth secrets in Help. If you're looking to provide help for new players, you can do it without that just as easily as with.

everyone should be supporting smaller players, already had some people asking over the forums for Starter Stuff, this is how stuff usually works out getting them free stuff.

I quite agree and applaud you for helping out new players. I just want to make sure nobody starts using "Help" to troll new players who may not realize the potential consequences of certain actions.

I've been playing for about two weeks now and I must say I've found the Salem community borderline anti social. Been to the chat channel to ask a question and no one said a word for three hours (then I left). It feels like a single payer game that allows people in just to come steal your stuff....repeatedly. I'm still playing... but I'm not sure why. I've wondered the wilderness quite a bit and I am quite surprised by how many dead, deserted dwellings I find. Drowning and loosing all my inventory and theft of my home has hit me the hardest. I might be far enough along that I don't really need the items on your list (although toolbelt hmmm...) but wanted to stress how badly the salem community needs to improve on how new players are welcomed, helped and maybe even protected. I get why everyone is distrustful ingame... but surely you don't want to play just by yourselves? Pity I only saw this post now.

Good man. I've been trying to drop off gear in Providence when I can, but been thinking maybe there should be a designated Noob Box/Barrel in town.

To anyone who complains about the climate in Salem, you are part of it, if you don't like it, change it.

I think you would help new players more by teaching them to fish, not by giving them fish.

Somehow I always see those giveaways as "I have some garbage I don't need so maybe instead just throwing it out I will play some charity" ^^

you serious? no clue what are you even talking about. or why you feel the need to mention the Tribe and Darwoth in literally every post of urs even tho they're never actually related to anything u say (or mb im missing smth here)... BUT as being 3 month old on salem im a "new player" and i dont feel like the 'climate' is bad because of high biles players. Me or any other noob dont even know those 400biles players and those 400biles players surely dont know us/ever heard of us/annoy us, so how do they 'grief us out'?
