Oh wow .. big question. Pottables get their purity from the pot they're planted in, the initial plant, and the humus used to plant. Crop purity is a mix of the field purity, seed purity and a random factor. The random factor can push field purity up and thus you can improve on both fields and future harvests.

Ore purity increases with distance from the ladder inside the mine, as well as a random factor that is affected by the amount of +mining and +productivity bonuses you have from gear.

In turn metal purity affects a butchering knife's purity, which can be used to butcher animals and have them inherit the purity of the knife. Metal purity also affects fishing hooks which are crafted into lures that can be used to get fish with the purity of the initial metal used in the hooks.

Alternatively, the purity of the fibres used in making a netting for a fishing trap affect the trap's purity, and the fish inherit that purity if they're caught that way.

Purity adds to the gluttony and regeneration effects of food. at 100% purity, your food will have double its normal values at 0%.

so all purity start from "iron"

clay pot got purity from purity clay... clay purity got from shovel ? and other tools (nails...)

so i must got rod height purity for purity cave? sure ?

No, only meat and fish purity come from iron.

Crop purity comes from the field, this takes time to build up over many harvests.
Fish purity can come from having pure cotton fibres too.

When a pot comes out of the kiln it will be 0% pure regardless of the purity of the clay, lime and granite that made it. You must grow pure plants with pure humus to raise a pots purity.

You can make pure humus by feeding worms pure plants.

you probably planted stuff that you bought/got from someone else. or stuff that was pure from before the patch that changed how purity works. Your pots gain purity as well based on the resulting harvest. It'll gain the purity of the harvest if it can, but I think there's a cap.

Oh and turkeys, the coop will gain purity when an egg is laid that is higher than the coops purity, and again when the egg hatches and when the chick matures.

This is a page in the wiki that explains all about Purity and how it works. Please read it and tell me if it helps. I'd like to know if it is understandable.

Please tell me how metal purity works during smelting. All the sources say it "transfers directly to purity of the Bar of Iron smelted in the Ore Smelter", but it's not (or I'm getting it wrong).

Here you can see 15,34% bar made from 14,90% ore and 10,13% from 17,78%. Bar's purity is never equal to ore's purity, I even had 33+% bar coming out 19% ore once. Is that random or has anything to do with lime/coal/smelter elements?
