Salem

I have been trying to get my friends to download the game, but upon visiting the site, they are welcomed with non-stop viruses. I have also had a few as well and this has been frustrating for both of us.

Any help?

i suggest getting a antivir like Avast, and a updated Firefox browser aswell as Malwarebytes anti-Malware.

Have your friend clean his computer of any virus before downloading Salem.

Download AVG, it can be annoying at times when it wants you to restart your computer but it has never let a virus into my computer for a year and a half now

get windows defender or whatever it is called these days. Never heard anything bad about it (contrary to every other antivirus) and it always worked fine for me.

I wouldn't recommend this.

AVG is the worst virusscanner I have ever tried.
All it ever gave me during a few months of trying was false positives and issues playing just about any online game. Aside from that it'll still screw up connections even if it's explicitly disabled to avoid said false positives.

Avast is much faster and doesn't interfere with games so far. It's not the best protection available (I believe the paid version of Kaspersky has that rank at the moment.) but as free virusscanners go it's pretty good and one of the more efficient ones. (Less cpu etc consumed.)

A dubious "virusscanner" site that auto-downloads an exe as soon as you visit it. Sure sounds trustworthy!

whats dubious about it i just linked him directly to the tool dl page at least i`m not recommending avg or avast i`ve used it multiple times to clean infected PC`s havent had a problem with it. IF you are so scared to use it google Hitman pro its a cloud scaner with 30 days trial

half the security issues I clean up is due to this kind of programs found willy nilly online. There might very well be some legit ones among them. But I for one will never ever find out.
