Turkeys or the Egg (which comes first)

I have 2 turkeys in a coop where they have been for 2 days and all I have so far is 1 dropping. How do I get them to produce eggs so I can get more turkeys - yes I do have a gobbler and a hen.

Do I have to play romatic music or light a brazier?????

I would go get more turkeys but its a 3 hour round trip to the conifor forest.

Takes ~ 3 days for the first egg to be laid for an entire coop of turkeys. I have no idea how the egg spawning mechanics work though, so you may not see an egg for weeks. Or it might give the egg to your single hen.

Easier just to pay someone to bring you turkeys. We who live in dark forests still trip over them fairly often.

A full coop of turkeys is how many turkeys? :)
I have 20 turkeys in a coop and they have been in there for over a week but I don't get any eggs.
I actually thought it wasn't implemented...

My friend got a few turkeys from another guy, and there was egg in coop after about 3 hours.

Why doesn't my coop give eggs?

I don't know if this is right (as I don't have turkey farming), but someone told me the best way to get eggs and poop is to place them like this:

Confirmation please?

I would not put the 3rd row of hens, because a)they **** alot and b)once there is **** underneath of them they will not lay eggs.

Depends how often your turkey coops get checked. I just put the gobbler on the left side, so the first poop goes under him and no egglaying is interrupted. Beyond that, the next 2 hens have their productivity interrupted, but rarely do we let more than half a row of poop build up.

Also - and this might just be my imagination - but you get more eggs/chicks if you keep the coop topped up and absolutely completely full of food, my theory is that when the Turkey's bellies are full they are happier and their production goes up. I toss a lot of full steaks in there (rabbit and deer steaks) and I have more eggs and chicks than I can deal with. In fact I'm going to have to build a 2nd coop to house them all.

Or you know, you could always just eat them ;p
