point numbers 4 and 5 - can't agree that the character is more important than the base as a generic statement. Especially in a world where alts are common. Point 4 is somewhat contradicted by point 3 in that regard.
The point about braziers talks about defending the base whereas point four says never defend.

I suggest you go through the guide and try to eliminate the inconsistencies or at least clarify some of the above points.

I agree that this post is very poorly written and hope that the OP spends some time to improve it.

Several other points are contradictory (1. vs. 9.), other could be merged (3.+4. , 5.+6.+11.)

expanded on 1 and 9, changed 11 to 7 so that 5, 6, and 7 are together.

I honestly think leaving no scents is the most important one out there. I'd say well over 80% of all deaths are summoned deaths. This is also mostly a guide to keep people playing and not rage quit after losing their lone character they've been developing for a month.

Cheena wrote:Hug your wall and you'll end being stomped through it. No one wants to be stomped through his own wall, be ko'd, watch the wall being destroyed and see the death coming.

Although you can be KO'd through a wall with stomp you can't be killed. I"ll put it in there with the wall part.

Dying is part of Salem. This guide is also trying to let people know how to keep the game going even after their character is killed. They won't rage quit as much if they do die if they have other characters to fall back on.

I'm always willing to edit.

As for staying out of the politics, I'll always fight for the game and try to raise it's population. The Candies understood this and I hope the tribe does too. I only oppose how you treat new players because the population is so low. If we had thousands of players and the game was stable and marketable I'd be fine with your occasional hilarious actions. I thought you guys were going to do some 'Let's play' on youtube or some new help videos. What happened to those?

That's it? I've already seen it. I thought you guys were actually going to do some real one's. What about Twitch? You talked about setting that up too.

I've updated the OP of this thread for Providence and added the new Brazier Mechanics to it.

Please give me any suggestions to add to it.

lol, I don't mean to disrupt the thread, but I remember when that video was first posted and I was treated like the Worst Person Ever for suggesting that didn't belong in Help!

Speaking of videos. You could skip reading this whole thread and just watch what Frank Underwood has to say at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5Ha3IWeXOo. Rest just follows directly from what he says.

3/10.. In one sentence you say abandon your base, the next you proclaim defending your base. tree walls no longer work apparantly, wouldnt you have found this out with your 4 full skilled, 120 bile characters..?

You suggest locations for a hermit base to be near large lime pits, (attract attention), river crossings (higher footfall), areas of high purity (people will follow them if they get close) all these imo are wrong) Especially islands.. people even half nearby will come and see whats going on.. inconspicuous locations invite infrequent visitors.

The best option for a hermit is right in your first line, secluded.. purity and local resources matter very little.. A hermit should find a secluded mix of biomes, not too far from water, lime or trees.. but not on top of them.. the flatter the better is pretty much the guideline for hermit bases.

A guide to current politics (unbiased) would be very helpful to new players.

Of course, this guide has been carried over from last world.

....and I actually do the opposite. I tell hermits to avoid special areas like large lime pits, purity nodes and islands. We completely agree on that, you just read it wrong.

I'll add another line so it's more clear.
