Re: Sevenless' Guide to the New World - Agri Purity update

Regarding the info on the mining section of the guide, I've actually found a node with 2.24 purity multiplier (13% pure, 51,99 mercury) with a 1.00p woo-woo wand (basic 25 of each element).

Bug or intended? (in case of latter, jackpot?)

I found a Mine with a woo-woo wand which gives ore with 35% purity. It was my first attempt and it was right next to my claim. I think they have changed the purity percentages as to what is good/decent/notgood? Either that or SUPER JACKPOT lol!

Placed the updated wall and brazier information in the appropriate section: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=181&p=1739#p1739

Forgive me, Sevenless, if you ever come back, as I know this is why you didn't want to put this in the wiki, but the information needs to be up-to-date, and it's too much effort to rewrite it!

does the section about agriculture is up to date? Since it's a few months old, i don't know if there were changes in the agriculture system.

It's more or less accurate. There's been a few changes, but nothing extreme that changes how agriculture works. I think the only change has been fertilizers no longer adding to purity of the planted field.

It will find mines, Dyne. The nodes it detects are just rarer, so you'll probably have to travel a good distance before you find one. They can be kinda easy to miss, but adding

Code: Select all
<marker match="gfx/terobjs/minepoint" tooltip="true" text="Paydirt" color="#000000" />

to your radar will have the nodes appear on it as a black dot while prospecting, if it's within render distance.

Something useful Ornery mentioned."

I would like to know how can i add this into my radar and which folder should i look for and where exactly should I "copy paste" this. Thanks for teh great guide :)

If you are using Ender's Client then there is a radar.xml file in your Salem directory (should be C:\Users\[your_user_id]\Salem on Windows Vista+).

Just in case anyone reads a few posts above, the Agriculture meta game has changed quite a lot due to a purity update on 04/04/2013. All mechanics other than purity are the same as of today.

Disclaimer added with regards to purity. Thanks for reminding me.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Will torchpost defend from behind my house if I place it in the front? In other words can if defend through a structure?
