You really can stop testing how to die, unless you go to darkness and drown to confirm that it causes permadeath. There is no other way to die (yet) besides getting murdered.

I don't know, if you can drown in darkness and permadie as rumor has it, then maybe there are other ways. Let him test them if he wants to. Someone should, just in case there is a bug no one has found yet.

I can confirm drowning in darkness does NOT result in death. Done it twice at the edge of the map in the darkness.

There was another report from one pilgrim long ago. He lost his char while swimming poisoned.
And if I remember right, to test the darkness swimming you should have a crime debuff also.

more then likely people were dying from receiving 2 different KOs which the game was reading the 2nd as murder. Its prolly fixed by now.

Yes, that was my thought always, but I never had time to check it out. So if any one would be able to do this - would be good to know the results.

So from my findings i can conclude that.... either Death doesn't exist, It's not implemented in this beta, or in order to die you need to fulfill specific procedure
If anyone has actually died in this game I'd love to know how- just need some help in this death experiment

I am not 100% sure of this, but from what little I have learned in my noobness, seems to me that all you need do to experience permadeath is to piss off Stormie or Binks, Darwoth, or Chief/Tribe depending which server you are on.

You mean piss off Stormie and happen to leave your claim/bell unclaimed. Not much to worry about otherwise.
