Haven't played in a year

Hello!
I haven't played in about a year or so, and upon logging in I got a message that my location no longer existed and to return to my homestead (which doesn't exist anymore) and it took me to town, but it's stuck on a black screen. I can see things moving around the minimap, but I've got a mostly blacked screen. I can access my inventory/biles and stuff just fine though.
I'm fine to just play a new character, but I'm really hoping I could get access back to him or at least be able to kill him.

Nevermind, he's stuck in town and I can't logout so he'll die. I'm gonna start a new character to begin from scratch
