Help me to improve my Gluttony sessions

Postby gustavohvg » Thu Jan 28, 2016 4:25 pm

Am I doing anything wrong? How can I improve my Gluttony session with 25 of each humour and proficiency (and no farm skills)?

I also have some silver and can buy cheap ingredients

Currently my session is planned to be:

BUGS: Froghetti - this immediately destroys the food group

NUTS: autumm delight - this immediately destroys the food group

MUSHROOMS: 'shrooms on a stick

BERRIES: berries on a straw / "that other one with cranberry"

GAME: lumberjack frikadel

FISH: crusted crawdad / fried oysters/ roasted crab meat

VEGGIES: rabbit in the cabbage [buying cabbage leafs and carrot]

(P.S.: I'm trying to find a group to play if anyone is recruiting)

You will need restore foods that restore certain food groups.

You can find them on the wiki here :
http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Food#Gl ... .2FRestore

Avoid the 100% chance 100% restore foods for now since they have a 2 hour debuff and with low humors its really just better to stop the gluttony session and wait to do another session where everything has reset.

He will need restore foods LATER. At 25 humours and up to around 45ish where the "destroys the food group's efficiency" foods start being more random, and even farther than that, he can make due with 3 point spam sessions.

Stick with froghetti, filet on the rocks, autumn delight, garlic mushrooms i think? and some other meat recipe. Use any three of those for a point each, keep your humours balanced, use very low debuff and small gain foods to top off once just the 3 foods become inefficient. Ask again once you're at 70+ to all and this strategy stops being as efficient.

I agree with Lachlaan , the 90% reduce foods are great until 50 at least (the 4 he said + garlic rabbit; filet on the rocks is worse than the others) . Use one of each in your gluttony session , nothing else and stopped your session there. Normally they're small enough (regarding Full&FedUp time ) for you to begin another session really fast.

Yeah, forgot to mention, keep in mind that every 3 points you get a reduction to your full and fed up, and with low enough full and fed up and high enough sugar and spice (the reduction scales with sugar and spice, with a random factor involved) you can go back to 0 debuff and start over, or as little as 6-7 minutes in the later levels 60-70 with some other foods involved. Just make sure to make the top-up short timer foods something not of the same category as the 90% debuff ones.

These latter suggestions seemed good overall. I was aiming to get 6 or 9 points to use the time decreasing better but it's a lot easier in this way you said.

I'm sure I can buy mushrooms cheaply but any suggestions on how to obtain Wild Garlic? Is there any terrain where I can find them easier or anyone selling? (there aren't any for selling at the stalls atm...)

Grass terrains are usually the ones that spawn wild garlic most, along with autumnal forest (red forest on minimap, one with lots of red leaves). The main thing however is forage mode being turned on while you have food to regenerate the drained humours. Could also attempt to spam plant wild garlic and hope most stays wild instead of turning into domestic.

i got your back bro !
this take a bit of time (3 days to be exact)
make nets (better high quality) they are cheap 70s
make drying racks
put fish in em this should get you to 40 in less than hour if u mass spam
also 3 points by 3 points don't go higher
Note: don't use roasted fillets (those ruin the food category)
for wild garlic check the trade wind board i saw some guy selling large quantities

The Froghetti / Garlic Rabbit / Autumm Delight / Garlic Mushrooms are working greatly. The gluttony timing is 5 min which I use organizing myself.

I should reach 50 today or tomorrow. Any further tips on how to go from 50 to 70 humours? Just add berrie foods to complete the bars and maybe deviled beavers?
