Alloying?

Postby Eslake » Tue Aug 25, 2015 8:20 pm

We've been adding to a suit for this for a while now, but so far the smelter still gives 2 - 3 iron at about 50/50.
Wrought Iron is a 1/1 action so I don't see how it can help there..

Is this one of the skills you need to have incredibly high to see an effect, or is it not functional?

I believe every 100 points or so yields about 0.1 bar

So 1000+ alloy to get +1 bar from smelting?

I have to assume that it adds to the way the normal smelting works so that you do get the decimal points added each time. If the wiki and Sipo are correct and you utilize max efficiency, then 1.92 is better than 1.82 by ~5.5%. My brain feels better with the 5.5 versus the 0.1. :D and don't forget Prod. added to that.

Yes, it does add the decimal, so every bit you get helps.

my question is, every point of alloying gives a bonus, or every 100 point? I mean there is difference between a 101 and 102 set, or not because they are in the 2nd tier?

Theoretically, for reaching the 2.00 fill ratio it is enough a 180 set?

Every SINGLE point of alloying increases your chances to get an additional bar when smelting. It doesn't 'step' up in values. More alloying is always better and will always cause you to have a better chance for higher bar yields than those without the civ artifice.
