The e-mails he gets...

Postby Procne » Mon Jun 24, 2013 5:20 pm

A bit surprised it appeared on HnH forums, instead of here, and noone has reposted it.

Half the reason you're not with Paradox anymore is because I had a few chats with the higher-ups about your company's blatant support of racism, bigotry, and homophobia.

I get that you guys are pretty laid back but surely you're intelligent enough to see what a detriment to your financial success your forums moderators are (or will be, should you try your hands at Salem again).

I mean really, how much interest do you think you'll get when images like this surface around the web? http://i.imgur.com/qBJPypu.png

Shape up, please. I really don't want Salem to fail a second time but your unethical community moderation is going to cause you problems. I'd really hate to pass this kind of filth along to my buddy Rod Breslau at Gamespot for review purposes.

On the other hand, get some new moderators that actually have experience and know what they're doing - instead of some angsty teenagers with power trips - and maybe your next Salem trailer can get featured on the front page of Twitch.tv, or perhaps a very favorable review will show up on Gamespot and IGN.

You know... hypothetically.

jorb wrote:Do you honestly believe for one second that I care in the slightest about what some corporate industry website or other, where your political connections and a blowjob can supposedly get me a good review, writes about anything? I find it comedic to the point of tragedy that you even dare speak of professional behavior and in the same breath imply that I can accrue political favor or disfavor with dark and shadowy powers-that-be by doing or not doing something or other. :)

In the spirit of professionalism your ****** e-mail goes on the forums for teh lulz.

Its kind of sad yet hilarious at the same time. To be honest i dont really care what form of publicity salem gets the more it gets the more players we'll have!

I think the biggest qualm with the e-mail is how shady it tries to be. Having complaints and concerns is 100% fine but don't do things like, "...and maybe your next Salem trailer can get featured on the front page of Twitch.tv, or perhaps a very favorable review will show up on Gamespot and IGN.

You know... hypothetically."

Not answering and just posting the email would had been a win, this only shows us he gave a ***** about that guy.

inc dallane / staxjack comments, "you know why he only posted it on HnH forums" or something along that, 99.9% sure
could be that he knows some checks HnH forums but can refrain from spaming a forum for a game they don't play, dunno

but really, it's just *****, about twitch. he believes that because of what goes on at a forum has anything about what goes on frontpage of twitch? what a wanker.

edit: jorb lad, anychance to see that email it was sent from? god forbid if anyone signed his email up at shady sites

Doxing isn't considered very nice. =)

I think context was good in this case to dispel the idea that anyone could have had that this was an okay way to go about things.

oh i thought it was normal, started getting some nasty mails after signing up at this game :P (joke)
yes. it's not nice at all. and tbh would most likely not even do it, but write an email unloading some random insults for wasting jorbs time, would however be my choice.
but everyone has prolly wasted his time in one way or another, think i even wrote him a pm last week complaining, which at the moment i dearly regret after some major changes :)

Apologies. The dual forums thing is a bit frustrating at times. :)
