You have to watch your reel. High reel = ridiculous damage.

Either way, fear needs toned down. Being able to kill one without getting KO'ed from blood is hard enough.

Hard to watch reel once you lag and get stomped by bear ;)

Jump works wonders for dodging their stomps.

Nothing works for dodging the lag monster.

You have to hit and immediately jump away, or switch to run then move away from it.

Fear should last a little while out of combat. Imagine that you just fought a tiger in the jungle, even though you killed it and you're now resting, your body and mind are still in overdrive for some time afterwards.

Also, just because you start a fight doesn't mean you don't feel fear. Even the brave are afraid, that's what makes them brave. Having enough BB to overcome the fear would make your character 'brave'. Without fear, reckless actions are senseless.

Though yes, the way you described the fear mechanic seems broken lol. Fear isn't poison XD hope it's fixed soon.

let us distill moonshine, drinking some "liquid courage" after killing the bear "cures" the fear as with the current antidote/snake mechanics.

There's a good use of booze: either a buff to prevent (or lessen) fear effects or to work as an antidote to them. You should put that in the Ideas thread about booze.

Booze (or enough of it) might give the buff "Reckless", you're immune to fear and maybe some other effects, but you see your blood at max no matter how much damage you've taken.

Booze is a good idea to get rid of fear, but it should have some drawback like increased imbalance...or prevent your imbalance from decreasing while you are 'drunk'.

No, I'm fairly certain he meant Drunk. That's what happens when you drink alcohol.
