Im making clay with dirt. Usually, if you have one person helping you with milk of lime and you run like 5 or 6 accounts its way more productive per hour than actually diggin clay.

It all depends what kind of settings you use. Shadows tax a ***** imo

Technically, I guess, they are never empty, but I would say when they are all to the point where you have to dig the dirt around them, they are effectively empty. There are so many clay and lime pits out there, it's not likely to ever happen. But if it does, we can do several things. We could port to settlements and manually smooth the nearby pits, we could probably write some routine to automatically find clay and lime pits and smooth them flat, or we could just make them work like sand does. It's definitely not something that needs to be worried about.
