Winners of the Haunted Visions

Congratulations to the winners of the Haunted Visions! grapefruitv, I particularly appreciated your drawing, you're talented!

This is the subject of this topic. What did you think about the competition?

Personally, I do not know how many judges were present for the contest deliberation, but objectively, I think grapefruitv deserved the 1st place.
I do not want to depreciate your drawing Amber, I find it good too.

A big congratulations! I am not much into digital art like grapefruit's, but I could really appreciate the difficulty of MaxPlanck's pixel art!
I feel like I can't really appreciate the winner, though (I'm not a fan of the background), although it definitely looks the most spooky!
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

amber won 100%, aside from the fact her picture was the most original, looked the best and fit the theme of combining salem/halloween the best while keeping it gritty instead of looking like a bag of candy corns the fact is there will always be a lot more difficulty involved in creating art by hand than via a paint program mixer.

the winners drawing should be turned into a mask in game.

In my opinion, second place was the true winner.
First spot sketch looks like it was pulled out of the trash.

Thank you, I am glad it is appreciated.
But I agree with results and understand why judges decided this way and not another.
Even though digital collage (or other kinds of digital art) doesnt take any less effort or time, it sure does take less skill, since it makes it much easier to fix your mistakes and has ways of making sure your hand suffers less lack of firmness.

As I mentioned yesterday in the discord, that skull was absolutely crap compared to Grapefruit's art. On top of that, it was not Salem related at all, but whatever everyone has its own preference. I do very much disagree tho with the outcome, allas.

I liked the skull the most. It is a delicate piece of art
