since always in any state i have ever lived in if its not unloaded and in your baggage then once you go into the outer or inner security area none at all, people carry all the time in the lobby but folks shoot random people to in spite of not having permission to do so.

from my initial glance at the incident it appears that mr santiago had been perusing islamist websites of late, i would be utterly shocked to discover a connection.

edit: to clarify ahead of the impending "no your wrong" i see on the horizon, yes most states allow you to carry in the lobby IF you have a CCW not just anyone, FLORIDA however is one of the few states in the country that does not allow any guns period at the airport, which is where this happened hence the reason nobody "shot him down in self defense" per the above musings of a douchebag named tampon.
