Looks like Haven and Hearth is having a world wipe. Is anybody else excited about this?

According to wiki the first world was started April 4, 2009, that makes 9 worlds in almost 8 years, far from 3 wipes a year.

World 10 will be so gud

i played haven for the first 7 worlds, they typically used to last a whole lot longer. i do not know how many haven 2 has had since i do not follow the game anymore but pretty sure it has been a few already when there was originally "not going to be any wipes", just like salem when there ended up being several before the new team acquired the game derailing months of my invested effort each time before it even paid off in the "big showdown" it was working toward. in spite of their numerous retarded decisions on things i will always have a special spot for jorbtar among developers as without them and their stubborn nature id not have enjoyed haven or salem thus i wish them the best and success in their game, however the nature of both games is simply to time consuming to have wipes and wipes destroy the depth of the game itself. magnify this when there has been a wipe every 4 - 8 months since something like world five of haven and until they get that through their head and stick to it i will never look at another game they put out.

wipes are a bandaid fix for poor dev decisions, not a healthy or beneficial element of game design.

I played H&H W3, W5, and a bit of W6, having most fun at W3. Indeed wipes were a reason for me to quit for a while, so I agree this is a bad idea.
I am just having fun at Clayet's exaggeration about 3 wipes a year.

He said there were 3 wipes in one year, not that there are three wipes a year.

Was what he actually said true? Just curious.
