Salem

Salem Website + Game, as well as Haven & Hearth Website + Game where just down for nearly an hour.. They came back up at the exact same time.

What just happened?

Proof, that Seatribe still own Salem?
The Russians are PISSED.

During the down time i took a look at some HnH2 vids and its obvious so much of salem's concept/design was taken and used in HnH2.

It makes one wonder why they even got into bed with paradox and created salem other than to get free money, designs, concepts, education to further their own game?

I bet the whole time they were "creating salem", they were secretly remaking HnH 2 using everything they got from paradox to fund + fuel the redevelopment of HnH.

Or was Salem suppose to be HnH2.0 ? But they abandoned it and decided to start it from scratch?

Uuuuh, i meant what happened, as in what caused the downtime.. not some crackpot theory.. apparently Salem and Hafen share the same Server box, so that's why they went down and came back up at the same time.

It is well documented by seatribe that they were working on both games at the same time. What you just spewed out is massively retarded.

Seatribe does not own part of Salem. We left the server where it was in Sweden because moving it was unnecessary, so some things can affect both games.

You've been around long enough to know, but maybe you forgot? Jorb and Loftar started with Haven and it has always been their main game. Someone from Paradox thought Haven was fun but that it needed an upgrade to a more 3D environment and a few other changes and so Salem was born. Salem was originally meant to be a sort of Haven 2.0, but it kept changing and getting less like Haven and more like it's own thing. Paradox got impatient and mostly pulled out of the project. Mortal Moments came along and bought the game entirely, and Jorb and Loftar were free to put more effort into the next Haven update, which became a more true-to-the-original Haven 2.0.
