It is not exploiting...it just needs to be balanced. There is nowhere in the world where you should be 100% safe from the reprecussions of your actions, let alone in darkness which is supposed to be the most dangerous place to live in all of Salem.

You missed the point what i was saying:

The sacrifice already made is a fair trade for the defence received, crime debuff or other raiding mechanics shouldn't be changed due to this.

Having witches around and difficult animals spawning is no issue for me in the future.
