I don't think so the face expression next to the stats didn't change so kind of weird

Only ever experienced th.is while having at least one level of madness. And it seems to happen randomly

you may want to check your madness.

If you hear that once, you are doomed to die with that character. You could go to the Barbers in the darkness towns to cleanse yourself but that also comes with some side-effects. That is probably worth your effort tho, assuming you have some spare silvers.

Some players have also studied the arts of medicine and have become a Baber aswell, they could cure you in the center of the island of nod, there is a little area there (off-town) where the rituals of cleansing generally are taken by the kind people of Providence.
