these are some pretty great tips.
i was disappointed at people who made
personal claims there homesteads.
and the worst part, the claims were bigger
than their fences. people need to take a look
at this. these are legit methods.

I'm just waiting for better walls to become available :/ This 5 wall coating thing just doesn't make sense.
At the moment it just feels to me like we're using wooden fences in haven and that our only real security is the idea that scents will be left and person raiding your place can be raided back just as easily.

that basically it yeah, bring on the brick walls, problem is, they are leaving the game in this state, and people are losing months of IRL work in hours. that is a problem. I would say 98% of Salem has two walls and thinks they are safe. It's just stupid.

The whole purpose of this thread was to give casuals a chance to at least some sort of defense or to better understand the mechanics of the current game enough to survive till we can get a brickwall etc etc....

My main goal atm is to just get a settlment that is fairly multi-purpose up and running, it just sucks that I have to redo all of my work 4-5 times just to say that "I have a wall".
The other problem is that summon distance is like 11 tiles. If you don't have a relatively big settlement to begin with and you need to house leantos for however many villagers you have it's just a real issue.

You dont need protected leantos for all of your villagers, just the ones that have left summonable evidence laying around somewhere.

Yeah, I don't think anyone imagined there would still be no new content in the game by now to help against people with 125+ humors running around. You should have seen the attack by the russians at the apple, it was freaking unreal coles. They were like freakin terminators tanking 200 braziers shooting at them and dropping **** like nothing. It's very disheartening to lose two months of work in like 4 hours.

The current game is very, very broken.

Luckily I'm like obsessed for searching for the prime locations of hearthvaults, and building random ones around the world testing different defences off the beaten paths. One had a working industry and we didn't really suffer that much.

ya need better walls asap along with the tools to siege. only real way to stop a determined force is to live in the darkness and chase them down after they get a debuff.
