Case Number 1: When is Salem?

Presuming this means Charles the First is the current King of England during Salem that would put Salem anywhere between 27 March 1625 and King Charles I's execution in 1649.
Roll of Wallpaper: King Louis
There are lots of King Louises (Loui?) but only two overlapping with King Charles I. Either:
Louis XIII, who was King of France from 1610 to 1643.
or
Louis XIV, who ruled as King of France from 1643 until his death in September 1715.
Between those two dates we get:
Charles I + Louis XIII = March 1625 - May 1643
or
Charles I + Louis XIV = May 1643 - Jan 1649
Then when you factor that Providence wasn't founded until June 1636 it narrows the dates to:
Charles I + Louis XIII + Providence = June 1636 - May 1643
or
Charles I + Louis XIV + Providence = 1643 - Jan 1649 (no change)
Lastly if we assume Salem takes place in autumn then:
Charles I + Louis XIII + Providence - Autumn = autumn 1636 - autumn 1642
or
Charles I + Louis XIV + Providence - Autumn = autumn 1643 - autumn 1648

Conclusion: While the coins are interesting and I can tell a lot of work went into them I'm prone to regard them as meaningless when it comes to the time frame of Salem because of the very late date and the impossibility of some coins, IE a Charles Albert Sommer's Island Coin for instance. Like the Jalapenos and Peyote Cactus, they are a fun addition to the game, but shouldn't be taken too seriously. So I suspect the date of Salem lies somewhere between autumn 1636 and autumn 1648, and given the establishment of Providence I would suspect more towards 1648 than 1636.
