Remember, this all started with a moved post of mine in the damn mod complaints thread because Jorb banned me for a week because I argued against his nut job politics. This train left the tracks a long time ago and is moving down the road now. All the crazies like Darwoth, Colesie and Biddas are on it now I think.

Yet you're not the only one to have disagreed and argued against his point in that thread; yet you are the only one who was warned.

What are you talking about? I think there's probably a communication breakdown here. This is a separate thread than the one I was warned on.

The first amendment is not absolute but it doesn't apply here. You can be banned from privately owned places, forums, and games for expressing racist, homophobic and misogynistic ***** at people. That this game doesn't have a reporting function for that behavior says a lot about the dev's.

There is no filter by the administration by design. You should not confuse this with the moronic assumption that the developers condone poor behavior. It would detract from the atmosphere of the gritty, dangerous (permadeath, remember?) flavor if it were policed because people were offended by what someone said/did.

I really don't want to play with such an amount of crazy, racist people. It was really disturbing to realize that i've played with that kind of *****. So I talked about it with other players. They didn't seem really impressed. I couldn't understand why, in any other MMO, such players would get real Problems playing with anyone.

First, sorry to see you go. The internet allows these people to hide and not say who they are when they say such idiotic racist *****. None of these people would make statements if their actual identities were shown while they did it and none of them have the courage to say these things in real life.

Second, the dev's have stated that their political views get in the way of them policing their games and forums against racism, homophobia and misogynistic behavior. That doesn't make them racist, homophobic or misogynistic, but it does make them either cowards for not confronting it or sympathizers to the people that express those views, because of that their game population shrinks. You're not the first person to leave the game over this issue. There are several forum threads on this exact topic.

Finally, always remember that you wouldn't talk to a raving lunatic yelling racist, homophobic and other idiotic things while walking by them on the sidewalk in real life, so why would you do it on the internet.

I. These forums do comply with German law regarding speech, and we as users shall abide which portions are to be followed, in-which are enforced. Don't believe me? Dress up as Hitler and post it on here. The image will be gone as soon as a moderator gets on. Yet, despite what you may think they do enforce limits to those forms of speech if harassment goes to far. If it is used in a general sense then who cares? You don't see me ***** about everyone who is anti-gay, anti-atheist, and so on and so forth. Why? Because it does not bother me nor do I care to waste time on those peoples.
II. They do not. By this logic I can say all Republicans and Democrats are complete jackasses who follow blindly while disregarding everything they've done. Does not make sense to generalize single actions nor principles.

It is not absolute when it comes to entering private property. You wouldn't be able to enter a store dressed as a Nazi if the owner said no and hopefully you wouldn't be able to post Nazi symbols here on the forum without being banned. It's all a matter of degree up to the owners of this site and game. They won't allow racism and Nazi symbols here on the forums. They will allow racist harassment and Nazi symbols in the game and homophobia and misogynistic comments on the forums. Other MMo's don't.

Unless you want to try and burn that part of our Constitution, as the Supreme court has ruled a many times on expression of one's self least you want to throw out the ACLU's defending the NSPA and a couple other cases similar in nature. Don't like it? The same thing is happening to private businesses that refuse to service same sex partners. The Constitution of the United States of America is unbiased in that form. Get over it.
