So how's it going for everyone? Any new entries?
I never managed to figure out something clever for my signature on Paradoxplaza, and I doubt I'll do it here either.

i know darwoth had two that were fairly well put together and in high def last i spoke with him (one pvp based for lol factor, one a real trailer to promote the game), but i think he lost interest in promoting a game with rampant moderator abuse/favortism.

to bad, so far the other entries are more of an embarassment to the game instead of a boon and i don't really see that changing by the new deadline. :(

We could discuss allowing Darwoth to post his entry if he still feels like he would like to make one before the deadline :?:

I made a small mod based on Ender's client which adds some goodies to the cameras:
* possibility to hide GUI with keyboard shortcut
* possibility to freely move camera and "unstuck" it from character using Ender's free camera
* saving coords, zoom, angle of camera in free mode, which can be used by new camera modes:
* new camera mode which moves over 14 seconds in straight line in direction set by your character's rotation. Camera's direction, angle and zoom come from what you have saved in free mode. Camera's movement trajectory crosses location saved in the free mode at 7th second
* new camera mode where camera circles continuously around point saved in free mode
* new camera mode, similar to previous but with added sinusoidal zoom. Basically it rotates and zooms in and out repeatedly.

Might be useful to people making trailers. Anyone interested?
I don't know if I can just post jar like that, should I provide .diff file with code differences from Ender's version first? Also, what is the currently accepted file sharing site?

Ah, another question - are trailers with watermark allowed? I don't have license for bandicam or fraps, and freeware programs simply don't cut it for me :/

Yes plz, i would love a mod like that, even though i can't make a trailer for my own contest :(

And yes, watermark doesnt really matter, you can always use free *cough* trials

You should be able to just post the .jar file, unless some of the changes are in a .diff file.Website is usually mediafire I believe, or dropbox.

Ok, here's the jar then: http://www.mediafire.com/?ajcwfyl5v40ji3l
That's 32-bit version, compiled for java 6.

And instructions:

To use it you will require local version of Salem, look here for details: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1142
Then just replace salem.jar with the above one.
It's best if you have been using Ender's client already, as you should have all needed resources cached. Without them game will crash and you will have to download them manually or play with Ender's first.

- to toggle GUI display use ctrl + U
- to move camera around you must have freestyle camera enabled. Hold ctrl + mouse wheel and drag. Like rotating camera but with ctrl pressed.
- in freestyle mode camera state is saved automatically
- new modes are available in camera options window
- to properly use moving camera (the one moving in straight line) first rotate your character in the direction you wish the camera to move. Then use freestyle mode to set desired rotation, elevation and location of the camera.

Warning!
Before you quit the game make sure to set the camera to one of the three first modes. Client saves last camera you have selected, and if it was one of the new modes and then you use Ender's client it will crash (as it doesn't have this camera definition). I haven't figured out yet how to disable saving.

I'll post .diff tomorrow, once I set SVN properly.
