I hate the fact that I am forced to play a specific way, and voice my opinion, but this attitude takes the cake.
I hate that people complain about the mechanics we have, but don't bother giving any suggestions on how to change them. But I'm sure we'll think of something once we're done with the 1000s of other things we have to do/balance/add.

Lets be clear, I don't like Disease and I really hate insanity/madness in its current form, but I am doing my best to not complain about it. Disease seems to mainly punish new players (people who cant afford the mask) and insanity/madness - well don't get me started. My post was specific to the suggestion that you may take action on people's main characters because they are USING a mechanic you introduced and like.
If you (the developers) don't like the results change how it works, but you should not be punishing players for using a game mechanic that is APPROVED. I recall that I already suggested the Monty Python solution "Bring out your dead!". Let people load bodies on an NPC roaming cart - even club diseased characters over the head and load them in for that matter. Heck, it can just be a special bin or a new hospital building, no sexay AI. I am sure some players would be happy to police town and remove people.
Up until your post I assumed the rumors about DEV favoritism/intervention/cheating was just that, a rumor, but now I am not so sure.
So back to the point, "What do you hate the most about Salem?" The thought that the developers are (or would consider) punishing people for using approved game mechanics.
Hmmm, disappointing. For an answer to your rant, see the post by John below. Your post was hinnomed for being an off-topic rant about dev intervetion / moderation, which was already explained here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10316&start=90#p214978. You will now be banned for a day for reposting your rant instead of PMing me about it, which is what you should do if you're confused or concerned about something, including the rumor you mentioned.
