What happened to you is the process to weed out the people that aren't cut out for this game. You can stop posting now and threaten to never come back and how sorry I'll be when the game dies. Alternatively, I'm not a child like some of these others who go 'LOOK AT WHAT I DID' when they trash a new players base, which is exactly what some people did here. I didn't actually die as I logged off prior to the attack as I wanted to take a break, so I didn't even get the worst of it, yet I'm here and the others are not. Why? Because I actually like the game and want to enjoy it.

And also...take a step back...breathe deeply, and look at your thought process. "Weed out people that aren't cut out for this game." Thats even necessary? Well I actually agree killing new players doesn't do any good, it' is however the right of a player to do so if he is capable and willing.

Is it necessary? No, it's fun. Think about it, try and wrap your logic-less mind around that.

Its fun...for the person doing the killing. In a cheap thrill kind of way. I could go play an FPS game on easy and have the same experience without ruining others. And just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD. There are always consequences; in this case its a loss of potential players to have more people than the same 10 or so to play with on the entire server. By the GAME ITSELF I meant that the person would find out whether they like it or not by playing, not find out whether they like it or not by someone else butting in and cutting the experience short.

Also, so far I haven't thrown any direct insults, but saying I have a 'logic-less mind' doesn't really do you any favors and only makes your arguement look worse when you have to stoop to insults to try and get your point across.

First, you claim the tribe is awful because they play by the rules of the game and the devs need to step in and change things. But the rules are the same for everybody. If you don't like it, bring your own characters around and force a change. Protect those newbies you seem so concerned about. I say seem because this is clearly just another instance of Claeyt trying very badly to make propaganda.

Claeyt, you're talking like you saw the whole thing happening. Like you were there from the very beginning. You watched a clueless guy who decided to stream his gameplay before he really knew what the game was about, bring in a bunch of new players and lead them off claim to his little camp, which must have been just outside of Boston. If you were so concerned about them, why the ***** didn't you say to the guy, "Hey twitch guy, don't lead players off claim, you'll only get them killed. I'll buy you a claim so you can teleport them a bit more safely". Or maybe you could have said, "Hey twitch guy, it's dangerous to lead players off claim because they'll probably die. Have them go with empty inventories so they can immediately teleport back to Boston of anyone shows up".

If you were so very concerned about new players getting the kid glove treatment, you should have done it yourself. Otherwise, they should learn as soon as possible just how dangerous this game is. If they got killed as 5/5/5/5 newbies with no skills and that was enough to drive them away, they weren't going to stay anyway, but you could have at least given them a warning.

Clearly, you didn't help them because you knew very well what would happen and you wanted it to happen. You wanted them to all die so you could post this thread pretending anger at the tribe for 'ruining the game' when it's players like you who are really responsible.

Well the last part is just idiotic. How am I ruining the game for anyone. I've never killed anyone. I've never attacked anyone. I've never left a scent. Don't be stupid, I'm not the one "ruining' the game.

I've given the tribe many, many suggestions on how they could help this game grow. I've told them they should give warning KO's to non-treaty members who don't know about the treaty. I've told them that the Chief or Binks or whoever in the tribe should stream on Twitch to promote the game because they're probably the only group that doesn't have to worry about getting stream sniped. I've asked them over and over to take in more noob recruitment so that it helps the game grow. What do we get instead? 2 Porno actresses in a you-tube video that probably cost as much as it's total number of viewers.

I did see almost the whole thing. Clearly you didn't. If you had you'd have seen me talking to the streamer and giving him some metal tools and iron and copper to get started with. I clearly warned him about the treaty which he was fine with signing from what I understood. I warned him about needing a claim. I offered him some protection on a claim of mine. I told him to focus on leveling up and moving deeper into the map. I told him to get defenses up but none of them had the skill for it. I basically did everything you suggested that I should of told them. They planned to move further into the map soon. They planned defenses. They were learning the game from the very beginning.

They were all brand new to the game, even the streamer had just touched on it. He just wanted to learn the game with some of his followers and they got attacked by the tribe. The worst part was that they were fine with joining the treaty but were never even given the option. Instead the tribe just attacked them and killed them all and put another nail in the coffin plank of this game.

As for defending them. There's no way I could or would try and throw my characters against the tribe in the open field. If their town was under attack or something like that then maybe but I'm not going to run blindly into some noob slaughter.

Wait, please explain again who is trying very badly to make propaganda? The entirety of the Tribe's existence in this game has been mostly about "scalping" new players. Finally we get overwhelming evidence on a larger scale of how this play style can and does affect the game's development, the facts are right there in front of your face and still you choose to deny the truth.

Did you read the beginning of this thread. This guy has 10,300 YouTube subscribers. That is a lot for a game reviewer. That's a lot of possible new players that will no longer be trying Salem.

You can role play like an idiot all you want but you just cost this game part of it's future and probably cost Seatribe hundreds in possible store sales.

Killing noobs and then posting shots of it is idiotic. Why would anybody brag about it? The crux of the argument is in your second part here. Every player has a right to do what they want and are capable of. I was completely capable of destroying this base and killing them all but I chose to help them instead with iron and nails and tools. I did it for the good of the game and to help the game grow. The tribe did the exact opposite, they did what they wanted and were capable of and decided to wipe their base and go for some cheap kills, but they hurt the game a lot by doing this. They do not have the best interests of the game. They are not helping it grow.

Well today we had a mid level streamer named Aavak come to our humble little game. He has 10,300 subscribers to his YouTube channel, 1,500 followers on Twitch and was able to triple Salem's population with his stream by getting almost 100 of his stream followers playing the game this morning.

...and of course the tribe and Biddas ruined the only advertising this game has had in months.

Aavak came on and started leading his group out to some little abandoned camp. He was playing for awhile before meeting a treaty member and when told about the politics of the game he said he was peaceful and willing to sign the treaty. His group experimented with the game for about 5 hours and and he and his mods kept leading little groups of 5/5/5/5 noobs out to the camp.

Then Biddas came on as his Mikus character. Even though Aavak's noobs said they'd join the treaty and even though it was the only new growth this game will probably ever have again Biddas just started killing a bunch of 5/5/5/5 noobs and because of this Aavak ended his stream. His statement at the end was that if current players were going to troll his group then he'd just leave and show them a different game.

Way to go Biddas, you idiot. This game is on it's last legs and you and the tribe just continue to amaze me with your stupidity. Do you want to see this game go away? Do you want to kill the game officially? Why wouldn't you want a guy like this promoting Salem? I personally think that murdering them was the right thing to do by them, they get to learn very quickly what this game entails and imo more people that stay away from Salem the better. This game is in Developer Purgatory until sometime next year when they 'feel' like doing some coding and I personally hate seeing people waste their time especially playing a game with such grim prospects.
