if it was not for the russian playerbase in haven making all of the clients, mappers and other utilities over the years haven would be completely unplayable, i know i would not have bothered past a cursory glance were it not for the custom clients.

a large portion of any success or growth haven enjoys is owed directly to the playerbase that helped foster it, to that end it seems like an even bigger load of **** they expect said playerbase of mostly non westerners to pay a premium level subscription fee for a laggy copy of something that used to be free, with no support, infrequent patching and that will just be wiped every 8 months.

Don't forget the whole ninja stealth way they did it. Did not say a damn word about this whole system. I am all for them making some money but.. Well yeah.. That was poorly handled.

Well one would think that if many people actually paid the sub, Jorb and lofta would work full time on HnH and not just a part time hobbie so patching and everything would be alot more frequent, however they are known troll kings, so they will most likely never put a 2nd breath into HnH2, and will just stand in a 2 man jerk circle getting as much money possible from this untill the game dies.

Wasnt that the reason Paradox pulled out of salem ? Over paid, little progress ? Not a care in the world?

Having people pay monthly for haven in its current state feels like a ***** move.
I'd much rather see them introducing a Salem-esque shop, or/and, if they are so keen on getting a subscription-based service, may be some kind of premium account stuff.
But well, what's done is done. Lets hope they make the game worth it.

I don't play H&H and i don't think that i will try Hafen.
But not in reason of the new payment model but Salem is my game.

Nevertheless i have look into the H&H Forum several times in the past and now.
Just for information what Jorb&Loftar does the lovely long day.

Now i see a full crap of postings there and here.
I can understand the Sadness about a payment model in cause of the ability to pay.
But look, there are two devs that spent so many hours, days, month, years for your gaming fun.
Why not pay them?

We in Salem pay the devs too and i'm sure some people will spent much more than the 10-15$ per month in our itemshop.

I think our shopsystem is a nice thing and our devs can improve this at any time.
But Jorb&Loftar have choose another way.
Maybe they are overshoot with the price... but you have a chance to give them some money back for their hard work.
And there is a possibility to spent no real money if you find one who pays for you the real Dollars and you give him instead ingame money.
Whats wrong with this system?

We shoulnd discuss here whats wrong with this game, because it is not the right place for it.
Lags and Bugs you only can discuss in H&H forum so that the devs have a chance to solve it.
And if you pay your money you help them to get the time for fixing the problems.
If you dont willing to pay, if nobody willing to pay, then they need other jobs to earn real money for living and have lesser time for develope the game.

Yeah maybe they have choose the wrong way in your eye but they have choose.
And honestly a monthly sub is not bad as all, because you prevent to spent much more money in an itemshop.
Thats the error in mind of many players that cries for a free2play game.
Such games mostly more expensive than a subscription for the player itself.

They have choose one model and they can do it.
You have only to choose if the game is worth for yourself.
So lets end to convince other why the own choose is the only real choose!

This was the first thing i was trying to find when i read about sub required, what perks does one get, most of all with the bronze / silver / gold system.

You get the title "Because i can" in the form of a hat. so ***** coooool.

I have no problem paying that 15 bucks a month. However, if devs haven't picked them selves up and things there are like Salem pre MM it's like Darwoth pointed out:

That's definitely not "bang for your buck".
So I'm gonna just wait and see how they manage it and maybe hop there to see what it's about much later.

played new haven and enjoyed well all this time even i'm using free 48 hours of time to play it ,the map is crazy ,many beautiful sounds and music ,almost solo playing but you can meet different people to fight with them or find new friends ,almost unreal to play with friends cause you cant find each other,if i'll use all free time i'm sure i can collect money and ever i can buy 720 hours of time playing in haven ,it's something new and for me it looks better than salem ,salem is starting to be boring,so if everyone want to try ,go ahead you can play some free time .
