Lets compare the data:

JohnCarver wrote:*On average one character a day is being murdered on prov. That character is not always of high stats but often enough that is the case.
*There are about 20 Waste scents being left daily.
*There are about 2,000 Theft and otherwise lesser crimes being left weekly.

Yeah, but then its not for the full price right ?

think it does calculate with taxes or the prices are all ***** up, coz i think i remember selling the listed here drums on stall for like 40k and scythes several times for about 20k per

Yea, scythes on stalls for 11k AVERAGE would be kind of ...surprising, must be without taxes...

Compared to today
*over 7 days we have 4 murders and 3 revenge (last time I added them together too) so its still 1 a day.
*We had 31 Waste scents left daily compared to 20 last time.
*We still had approx 2,000 "other" less important scents.

I'm very surprised that it isn't significantly less but it does seem like not a TON has changed since last time.

I guess you are right there, its very hard to take averages and make a good comment out of it, unless you'll make a graph each week.

Compared to much older data you can see differences tho:

JohnCarver wrote:(Thu Apr 02, 2015 2:59 am)
5,944 Crimes in the last week.

Safe to say that Crime is still being done. The fact that players choose to commit crimes on characters that are willing to die is pretty much exactly the system we want.

Yes. Population, store numbers, and almost all other factors are down almost 50% from April 2015 as well though.

Either way, no agenda here. I've made it no secret I don't like the status of the current pvp and crime system. A serious chunk of our time this next dev session will be about how we are going to go about correcting it. Odds are we are going to make changes on the next expedition that we hope are more 'portable' to Providence if the stability looks good.

JohnCarver wrote:That is all crimes. I can't sort by summonable at the moment but here is a more clear breakdown

Crime Breakdown:
Tresspassing: 1,397
Theft: 624
Assault: 95
Revenge: 3
Murder 4

Witchcraft everytime I parse it over ANY particular time period simply keeps returning 666 which seems odd.

I notice 0 waste crimes in this list, is this an anomaly in your query process?
