Easy-peasy. The Confederate flag falls under the 'EU anti-racism law' of 2007 as a symbol that is used to discriminate against a minority group or promotes racial violence.

It has been tested only twice in the courts, both in Germany, but importantly the courts deemed it a hate symbol under EU law.

Punishment for using the flag in public varies per country. In Denmark it's barely a crime while in Germany it's equivalent to flying the NAZI flag.

I know, since I live in Germany and you can buy confederate merch legally and I had neighbours at my old place who had such a flag on a huge ass flagpole without anyone ever caring. Here it is more of a "rebel" symbol and people also like it because it's aesthetically pleasant to look at.
It a sad thing that neo nazis ruin it with their agenda, but it is nowhere near being banned much less to same degree as actual nazi symbolic.

A vast majority of the south(blacks included) see it as southern pride. The flag that slack jawed ****** like cleaty are so offended by isn't even THE confederate flag at all. The one every goes nuts over is for one of the armies in Virginia if I remember correctly. The flag was never use to represent the CSA as a country and was never recognized as one of it's national flags.

Personally when I see someone flying that flag I think they are total ***** idiots by not being a greyman. If they were flying the stars and bars or a battle flag from their family then it would make more sense to me.

yep, the first national flag looked more like a flag from the revolutionary war and unknown to many is what the "stars and bars" actually are

the orange flag is the battle flag which ultimately became the flag for the army of northern virginia, and is actually a square not even a rectangle. since most of the heavy fighting was done by the army of northern virginia the CSA incorporated it into the second national and then the third national.

in modern times due to laziness or aesthetics most just use the naval jack (rectangle version of the battle flag)

personally the third national is my favorite.

trump currently is winning florida and virginia by quite a bit, but it can easily go to **** once the major cities are factored in. on a county by county basis the majority of all the states in the country are solid republican, it is only the big cities full of trash and freeloaders that ***** things up for the entire state/country.

florida keeps bouncing back and forth between blue/red in the realtime vote numbers, we wont know **** until the full east coast is mostly tallied with over 80% of the districts of a state in.
