More important to me than not playing is to not promote HnH over Salem on the forums. We've had way to much Salem bashing and HnH promoting in the last 2 months.....but it has gotten better. Just promote the game and help new players, that's all I'm asking. The wiki, of course is great for that, and for the record I thought you still were playing.

This right here is useless to this thread and is promoting HnH over Salem. Thanks Dallane for providing a perfect example of why we really don't need this type of stuff on "The Salem Forums". How is this helping the game to grow? All this does is tell new players to go to HnH and play, and Posts like this are slowing killing the game and killing Seatribes chances at promoting the game.

That has absolutely nothing to do with why the population is low. They are both great games but its a FACT that hnh is much more developed and put together. Salem will get there soon and people shouldn't give up based on how far along the game is now. Eventually salem will be on top hopefully but right now it has no chance.

I have to get behind Dallane here. A *lot* of people who play the game never even bother to visit the forums, and I have always tried to make a point of promoting honest feedback. Positive feedback is great, but it needs to come in the form of genuine appreciation, and not from the hype of a party line or from simple propaganda. Dissenting is OK.

They will never be happy with mods. If a mod plays then he has a political agenda on the forum like it would matter if you took a ban or not. If a mod doesn't play then he needs to because how can you mod for a game you don't play.

A happy medium would be nice. Play the game but stay apolitical on the forums.

As for the game promotion, I just hope someday I can sit in the Roanoke market and talk to a noob about the days when we only had 20 accounts on the servers and he'll say in the chat line:

"OMFG, how long have you been playing, you must be a really high player, there's like 22,000 accounts playing on the 25 servers right now"

and I can lean my back against my horse and say

"Yep, It was soooo lonely back then, but I'm not that high a player. I'm still hanging around 100 humours.......but I do have over 12,000 kinned and 43,000 memorized now with Belethor."

Then simply remove* mods ability to see more data than common user can and they are free to play and nobody will ever be able to cry about it.

*or change, if now mod can see IP and must compare it with other IP "by eye" it sucks, get mechanic that allow choose 2+ posts and compare their IPs hidden from human, mod would get only result match/not match. Problem solved?

Stop these statements right now. You do not need to play the game to moderate. If you DO play the game you're seen as biased and can't moderate properly, which is a big reason why I've stopped aside from lack of meaningful update/haven reopening. Your solution is to play the game like a ***** and to not get involved in the actual community of the game?

So we have to:
1)Set aside and ignore a major aspect of the game
2)Play even if we don't feel like it/enjoy it
3)Give out useless pixels that we've worked to obtain and spam wave/laugh emotes on rotation so that we look like some sort of town jester npc
4)Never join a village or group because it might turn political
5)Never post for help if we're ever raided because that's clearly political

That makes zero sense.

Get off the modabuse bandwagon already darnokpl. The moderators are not criminals, and there is no advantage that seeing a forum user's IP.

ps. They can already click a post and it shows any other posts from that same IP.
