I can confirm most of his statements and 15% pumpkin pies can be better then 50% pumpkin pies we're before the update and 50% pumpkin pies was the MAX.

Its still possible to obtain a 300 bile char its just needs to be on another way, i woudn't say its harder then before.

I ate around 1000 autumn gold to increase my phlegm up, right now you can get recipes with 300 phlegm thats just so easy compared to our old +80 phlegm pumkins/pumpkins pies.

With some effort you can yield 15% food, with that food you can make SUPER CABBAGE CAKES, SUPER PUMPKIN PIES, SUPER BLOOD RECIPES AND SUPER YB RECIPES.

Conclusion: With the recent humus, 15-20%, the food is even better then it was before and we can only see it increase furthermore.

Judaism as many people have said before. It has taken the people less time to farm the 100% purity previously before the nerf patch. THAN IT TAKES to get equal food now. thats the biggest issue i see. Why should some people have to spend double or triple the amount of time it took someone else to get to the same spot?

I agree the new system is better to some extent it is just way too timeconsuming for 80% of the population in salem. The last few 20% are the unemployed, people who already were playing before or working their asses off in a town to get a fighter out every 3 or 4 weeks. (200bile one i might add). If you cannot see the issue in just the decline of population there is nothing we can say or do to get you to understand this.

No. The problem is, that this is just not true at all. It took many months of intensive work, before the nerf, for people to get from 0 to 100% pure.
It will take a new player much less than those months of work now, to get to 15% pure tier 3 crops, which make equal, or sometimes even better foods, than the old foods made from 100% pure ingredients.
The problem also seems to be, that a lot of people got stuck in a loop of despair, and really haven't even bothered to actually *really* try the new system yet.

These many people are newcomers.

You lack on knowledge, i just told you that 15% pumpkin pies do the same then normal 50% pumpkins before, to get 50% pumpkins you we're req to have 100% pumpkin flesh and flour.

The food right now is better and more easyer to obtain, so i disagree your point totally.

Just so all the new players reading this understand how Kit Kat and Yourgrandmother got to where they are, I'll say it again:

Props and Pras on how you guys have got there. Tons of work and a fully active team, that's really the only way to get there, then or now. It was just somewhat easier pre-purity nerf than now.

KitKat wrote:No this isn't true. If they invested the same amount of time they can reach our levels. In fact I wanna say it's a lot easier and faster to catch up now then what it was before. Now all you have to do is Tier up fields. Even at 0% purity you can make some legendary food.

For example:

Image

It just takes some time and effort to tier up fields.

No I get it, like I said it's a lot more even than it was. I just don't think you can get the same effectiveness and levels as pre-purity patch food. I've seen the numbers. They still seem less than before overall, and they're also less glutton specific per element.

KitKat wrote:Why not join a town? I think a lot of solo players should be looking to team up and be apart of something that could turn out to be huge. It's a big part of the game sure you are always going to have your solo do it yourself players but the game is so much more fun when you have a group to play with.

They're are also a lot of towns that have been forming on Roanoke lately. Why not team up with one of them? I know a few that would probably be very happy to have you be a part of their town. I think you would enjoy it a lot more than playing by yourself.

I would, but I like having my own place, and it's tough to do both. :D
Also I don't raid, and I don't build big. I like staying under the radar and spreading out the risk when it comes to bases.

Towns and group play are definitely the best way to get good fast. I'd recommend a town for almost all new players who are willing to follow the lead of the older players. It's much easier to get up there when the infrastructure is already in place.

KitKat wrote:It's not impossible it's very attainable with the food changes.

The dev's have definitely eased it up considerably. From what I've seen the numbers were still better with the purity food rather than the tiered food, but it's close. Mostly it just seems that Glutton was more laser like pre-nerf. Tiered foods make great food in some case equal in numbers, and I get that tiered pies are equal in some cases to 50% pies. I just don't think that overall they reach the same levels or exactness as pre-nerf food. This makes it probably easier to get up there into the hundreds, but harder to hit those 500+ stat levels.

KitKat wrote:This is just not true. So what if you use it once and it's gone you are still going to be able to use the food you harvest. YGM posted real numbers from fields we harvested just the other day. If you find a base with good humus on it you can get returns back on those seeds. (if you say oh theirs no more humus to be found out there in the past two days I've looted over 4 dead claim bases that had humus 50-100%) You just have to look.

I definitely don't doubt his numbers. With high end hummus and high end seeds you're golden. It's just that you can't make the hummus or the seeds anymore. When you use them, it's gone, and not all of us have 3,500 hummus. :D

As for the hummus I think it's just slimmer pickings. The easy stuff has gotten sucked up. I'll still run across 20%-50% stuff, just found some today, so it's still worth looking but I've just been finding less over the last week. I've got a couple of guys planted next to high end claims that are still up. I check them every couple of days, and they'll drop eventually.

KitKat wrote:So the old high purity food are a little bit better that means so little in the long run of things. Think about it... It took months to farm purity on crops that's why their are so few titans running around. Now alls you need is Tier 2 and 3 fields and you can reach high humors.

Well, the purity foods were better but also more specific. It's definitely easier to get tier 3 foods than to grind purity, but the numbers are better for pure food. I remember all those 90% cabbages you used to get up there from your screen shots. :D

KitKat wrote:You don't know what you are talking about. Braziers are way to strong right now and It has nothing to do with the perma damage done to humors. When you have them grouped up they just do to much damage to fast. Anyone who has raided anything of note would know this. I would love to see 10 100 stat people try to raid someone with concentrated braziers. I'm willing to bet they would give up before they got anywhere. It's not easy at all. This is something you shouldn't have an opinion on no offense you just haven't experienced this part of the game.

I definitely don't know a lot about raiding, I said it right at the beginning there. The only opinion I'll throw out there is that the dev's have said a couple of times that they want us to work in groups. I personally think that they're pushing us into bigger groups both for defense and also raiding. I'd be willing to trade some of the brazier damage for them toning down the wall splash amounts and the off claim wall splash. As for the 10 100 stat guys, I was thinking more of the perma-damage rebuild on them and spreading out the hits on the braziers.

15% pies may have the same amount but the glutton hits are less specific. some of the food is better now, but most are less still and all the new stuff is less specific. Like I said above, it's probably easier to get to the low hundreds but harder to get way up there.

All I read was:
Wrapping things up. These forums are a damn joke. Never seen such mod bias in all my years on the internet.

You have never played Haven & Hearth, have you  ?

In Salem, the two most biased mods already quit their positions: Staxhax and Sabinati.

To start a field I'll need to:
Hay spam it to the point where I'll get it to 100% in one or two go's
Harvest it
Replant it
Spam hundreds of lime onto it
Harvest it

And then repeat the liming every harvest / add hay at times to retier it.
That's for every field that I decide to make.

As one person, I refuse to do that for 24 + fields

Not to mention that I could be potentially raided and have it all leveled in a 27-30 hour period

The permanent damage really isn't that bad. It's effects on 100 humored characters would be even less drain than a titan. I think it's very balanced an fair.
However the amount of damage they do when grouped up is ridiculous. If you were to crash while trying to take out braziers you can pretty much say good bye to your character. Something needs to change otherwise people sub 200 will not be able to even get passed walls let alone reach the braziers to try and disable them. It's just not going to happen. As far as splash damage goes on walls I think its fine. Maybe make walls a little bit stronger but the idea was to stop people from building 8+ walls around their base that's not how the dev's meant the game to be. You can still wall stack if you are smart about your placement by the way.

As for everything else you said the point we are making is that you can catch up, It's not impossible. We may have an advantage with time we invested in the game but well we earned it. Same goes for anyone else that's on our level. The people who played pre-purity nerf that didn't make it to titan status I don't think they will ever. They had so much time to do it and they didn't. Now they made it so much easier I'm interested to see what people can do. I wanna see more people with success in this game (I'm rooting for a lot of the new towns to do great). I think Yourgrandmother does as well and that's the point hes trying to make.

The game is ment to be fun and enjoyable with such made fear, weaved by the devs of being stalked and killed.

This game should not, and defineatly not be seen as some chore game, with things that you can get very easily bored of, the problem and the cause of this is that things, such as raising purity which we are doing now, is way too time consuming. I hope the devs can come up with something that will make this whole nerf stable enough to be admired by the audience and have the courage to do it.

A kin of mine took alot of time to try and even get up 2-3% goods. He hated it and want a more stable alchemy and purity system.
