Just so all the new players reading this understand how Kit Kat and Yourgrandmother got to where they are, I'll say it again:
Props and Pras on how you guys have got there. Tons of work and a fully active team, that's really the only way to get there, then or now. It was just somewhat easier pre-purity nerf than now.
KitKat wrote:No this isn't true. If they invested the same amount of time they can reach our levels. In fact I wanna say it's a lot easier and faster to catch up now then what it was before. Now all you have to do is Tier up fields. Even at 0% purity you can make some legendary food.
For example:

It just takes some time and effort to tier up fields.
No I get it, like I said it's a lot more even than it was. I just don't think you can get the same effectiveness and levels as pre-purity patch food. I've seen the numbers. They still seem less than before overall, and they're also less glutton specific per element.
KitKat wrote:Why not join a town? I think a lot of solo players should be looking to team up and be apart of something that could turn out to be huge. It's a big part of the game sure you are always going to have your solo do it yourself players but the game is so much more fun when you have a group to play with.
They're are also a lot of towns that have been forming on Roanoke lately. Why not team up with one of them? I know a few that would probably be very happy to have you be a part of their town. I think you would enjoy it a lot more than playing by yourself.
I would, but I like having my own place, and it's tough to do both.
Also I don't raid, and I don't build big. I like staying under the radar and spreading out the risk when it comes to bases.
Towns and group play are definitely the best way to get good fast. I'd recommend a town for almost all new players who are willing to follow the lead of the older players. It's much easier to get up there when the infrastructure is already in place.
KitKat wrote:It's not impossible it's very attainable with the food changes.
The dev's have definitely eased it up considerably. From what I've seen the numbers were still better with the purity food rather than the tiered food, but it's close. Mostly it just seems that Glutton was more laser like pre-nerf. Tiered foods make great food in some case equal in numbers, and I get that tiered pies are equal in some cases to 50% pies. I just don't think that overall they reach the same levels or exactness as pre-nerf food. This makes it probably easier to get up there into the hundreds, but harder to hit those 500+ stat levels.
KitKat wrote:This is just not true. So what if you use it once and it's gone you are still going to be able to use the food you harvest. YGM posted real numbers from fields we harvested just the other day. If you find a base with good humus on it you can get returns back on those seeds. (if you say oh theirs no more humus to be found out there in the past two days I've looted over 4 dead claim bases that had humus 50-100%) You just have to look.
I definitely don't doubt his numbers. With high end hummus
and high end seeds you're golden. It's just that you can't make the hummus or the seeds anymore. When you use them, it's gone, and not all of us have 3,500 hummus.
As for the hummus I think it's just slimmer pickings. The easy stuff has gotten sucked up. I'll still run across 20%-50% stuff, just found some today, so it's still worth looking but I've just been finding less over the last week. I've got a couple of guys planted next to high end claims that are still up. I check them every couple of days, and they'll drop eventually.
KitKat wrote:So the old high purity food are a little bit better that means so little in the long run of things. Think about it... It took months to farm purity on crops that's why their are so few titans running around. Now alls you need is Tier 2 and 3 fields and you can reach high humors.
Well, the purity foods were better but also more specific. It's definitely easier to get tier 3 foods than to grind purity, but the numbers are better for pure food. I remember all those 90% cabbages you used to get up there from your screen shots.
KitKat wrote:You don't know what you are talking about. Braziers are way to strong right now and It has nothing to do with the perma damage done to humors. When you have them grouped up they just do to much damage to fast. Anyone who has raided anything of note would know this. I would love to see 10 100 stat people try to raid someone with concentrated braziers. I'm willing to bet they would give up before they got anywhere. It's not easy at all. This is something you shouldn't have an opinion on no offense you just haven't experienced this part of the game.
I definitely don't know a lot about raiding, I said it right at the beginning there. The only opinion I'll throw out there is that the dev's have said a couple of times that they want us to work in groups. I personally think that they're pushing us into bigger groups both for defense and also raiding. I'd be willing to trade some of the brazier damage for them toning down the wall splash amounts and the off claim wall splash. As for the 10 100 stat guys, I was thinking more of the perma-damage rebuild on them and spreading out the hits on the braziers.
Judaism wrote:15% pumpkin pies do the same then normal 50% pumpkins before, to get 50% pumpkins you we're req to have 100% pumpkin flesh and flour.
The food right now is better and more easier to obtain.
15% pies may have the same amount but the glutton hits are less specific. some of the food is better now, but most are less still and all the new stuff is less specific. Like I said above, it's probably easier to get to the low hundreds but harder to get way up there.
