Lets just hope that lockpicking only works for house doors and not fence gates.

Why in the world would it work for one and not the other? It's not like someone is going to risk the scents to roll through walls

Trespassing I'm sure will have some downside to it that will not allow a full looting of the claim. Defenses activate it something like that.

Yeah, it would be very easy to hop in pclaims with 1-2 gates vs bashing the walls than it would be to hop in a townclaim.
Will lockpicking also apply to chests/sheds that are locked?
Gonna have to lock up everything pretty much. And someone could even hop in your base, lockpick through to where your bed is and just steal all the goods off your character with some thief alt they made without a worry of the thief alt getting stocked/killed.

Does lockpicking a door permanently hinder it for the thief/all others to allow it to be entered whenever after doing it once?
There could be so many problems with lockpicking that I'm worried about.
Not being able to feel somewhat safe in a base is kind of stupid imo.

Looking for it. Saving that aspect of the game compensates whatever advantage you might have :)

if he goes for it and whatever is ultimately come up with can be integrated into the game without to much trouble i will be extremely transparent with anything i influenced and why i steered them that way, anything new would probably also be given a trial run on the next expedition to see how it worked out and resolve any issues instead of just being pushed directly to providence where glitches could negatively affect someones time investment. the goal would be to make adjustments and lots of relatively minor and easy to implement new things so that that aspect of the game is fair for everyone, not for me to just be a derptard and create a smoldering landscape of burned out cities or influence some kind of new "secret" tactic to use on folks.
