That would have been the feast table. For reference, it had about 240x the vertices of the current crowberry model and 10x the vertices of the current feast table.

And, as much as much of a professional as I'm sure LOMS is at auditing vertex counts in java games, the cotton plants look fine as an individual model from the vertex-count perspective. If anything, the spread could be reduced of the plants on a field, but reducing vertex count further would sacrifice quality unnecessarily. I have a document on my desktop "LOMS Audit" that lists all the actual problem children he discovers so thanks LOMS for all the hard work :)

We could always halt the current development of the game and convert every herb/dropped item to two intersecting planes of 4 vertices each with an alpha channel to preserve niceness or convert necessary objects/structures to cubes to be properly interacted with. However, I'm not convinced that the lag produced by the current vertex count of the average tile loaded is severe enough to warrant that kind of overhaul, even as an optional "toggle" or low-res option. I can only imagine the enormous eye-roll JC would give at the suggestion alone. But yeah, we can always modify stuff. And have. And will continue to do so.

Oh, look, I did it. Someone is pissed off just a bit ¦]
Don't be. Have a flower!

And yeah, you will not stop your current development too much if you rip those potted tomatoes (I've originally started from) from the bush and replace them with their OK ground graphic version, made by... you?

They're really good, especially in compare to potted version. But unlike dropped tomatoes, potted version of tomatoes will stay in their pots more then 10 minutes.

Ain't even mad, bra. I made the flower before we were going to use it to be the most recurrent thing in the savannah biome. It should use planes and alpha channels, like most leaves on trees, but the flower was before I knew how to do that kind of witchcraft. And I don't think I made the ground graphic of a tomato either. It looks suspiciously like a cranberry and I would bet my tophat that the tomato ground graphic is just two leaves and a cranberry from the cranberry bush.

Oh, so you've committed crime against performance at least once! :)
I think I can smell it... it has a lot of polygons too ¦]

How bored are you to be running a game you play for entertainment checking every single object if its ok for perfect perfomance? Its not like Salem needs a GTXTITAN to run?

EDIT: i find it funny the pictures true but still ^^ to even think of doing this haha

nope i also lag in my town especially with 2 clients open maybe JC and marp could check how to reduce it, or maybe tone down some models on polygon use or find other ways to make it less laggy in huge towns?
